Sony Alpha A6400 Mirrorless Camera - Unboxing and Hands On

About a year and a half ago, I picked up an Canon EOS M200 camera - this was not the perfect entry camera for YouTube, but it was pretty darn good. I used it for quite a bit of b-roll and close-up shots, and I even shot some travel pictures on the holidays I took. Everything, for the most part, looked pretty good - but when it came to video, it did struggle a little bit.

But now, a few years into this YouTube thing, it's time to go out with the old, and in with the new. Let's show you the new Sony Alpha A6400 we've picked up!

So, the Sony Alpha A6400 camera is the new baby that we're going to be shooting with here going forward. The camera kit we purchased included:

• The camera body itself

• A lens (provide info)

• A USB transfer and charging cable

• A camera mounting strap, and some other small accessories
  

This A6400 is extremely well reviewed, and with Sony's recent announcement of their new Alpha 6700 line, the price point on the outgoing 6400 model has started to go down, which is perfect for people like me who were looking to do a little upgrade. I was able to pick this up for around $1,000 pre-tax with the lens included, which normally sells for another $100 - $200 on its own, which is quite an incredible deal.

While the new A6700 line is going to have a bunch of new features, for 90% of people who are looking for a camera that shoots photo and video and is set up to be used for vlogging and YouTube, this A6400 is a great option - and again, for $1,000, this is not one to overlook. Compared to our outgoing EOS M200, this A6400 packs a lot more punch: the photo and video quality is a lot better, and the camera itself is far better at stabilization, auto focusing, and several of the other issues I had with my M200 when using it for video.

I'm super excited to start using this new A6400 on the YouTube channel, and you'll be seeing lots of crisp clean footage shot on this guy appearing here (both photo and video) in the very near future, along with a full review when the time is right. This kind of stuff gets me super stoked, especially when it's a great deal - and you can definitely not beat the price point of this Sony A6400 right now!
